Medical & Dental Reunion 2025: Nov 7 – 9

This November, Georgetown University welcomes back medical alumni from the Classes of 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015 and 2020 for a weekend of reconnecting with classmates, Georgetown traditions, School of Medicine faculty and current students. Programming includes celebratory gatherings, class parties, academic panels, campus tours and student networking events. We look forward to seeing you back on the Hilltop this fall!

Celebrating Hoyas in Medicine

Since 1951, the Georgetown University Alumni Association (GUAA) has conferred awards upon the sons and daughters of Georgetown in recognition of their service and contributions to the university community. In 1992, the Medical Alumni Board and the GUAA presented the inaugural Founders Award to medical alumni leaders whose efforts and dedication to the School of Medicine have been truly remarkable. Now named the 1851 Medical Alumni Award in honor of the founding year of the School of Medicine, the GUAA bestows this recognition on up to four medical alumni each year. Nominations for the 2026 GUAA Service Recognition Awards, including the 1851 Medical Alumni Award, will open in June 2025.

The Georgetown University School of Medicine is supported, in part, by alumni who share their time and treasure with the school. Gifts to the School of Medicine support future learning and help to educate a diverse student body, in an integrated way, to become knowledgeable, ethical, skillful and compassionate physicians who are dedicated to the care of others.

Medical Alumni Board

The Medical Alumni Board was formed in 1869 under the name Medical Society of Alumni and was later chartered by the Georgetown University Alumni Association. The Medical Alumni Board comprises peer nominated alumni representing a broad range of class years and medical specialties, with a mission to serve the needs and interests of Georgetown University, the Georgetown University Alumni Association, and the School of Medicine alumni community.

Medical alumni leaders have played an integral role in philanthropic initiatives, constituent engagement and impactful support of students for the School of Medicine for the past 156 years.

Georgetown mourns the loss of its sons and daughters. The ā€œIn Memoriamā€ page pays homage to fellow Hoyas who have recently passed away and alumni can be filtered by school.

If you notice a classmate is missing from the list, or if you would like to notify us of a classmate who has recently passed away, please email alumnirelations@georgetown.edu.

If you would like to include a personal message, you may also submit a Class Note request. All information will be verified by Georgetown University before your note is published.
