Diana Williams is the Executive Vice President of Creative at MWM Universe, the IP-focused division of MWM, a diversified entertainment media company concentrated on premium content creation in film, television, immersive media and live entertainment. In her role, Williams oversees all creative aspects of MWM Universe and is responsible for building MWMU’s core competencies in creative content strategy, world-building, content production, and data analytics.

Williams’ career has always revolved around storytelling – reinventing the way stories are told in new mediums, reigniting experiences on traditional platforms, and pushing the limits of technological innovation. Prior to joining MWM Universe, she served as a Creative Development Executive and a Producer of Franchise Synergy within the Lucasfilm Story Group, an incubator for narrative cohesion and connectivity in the Star Wars universe. While at Lucasfilm, Williams helped launch ILMxLAB, an immersive entertainment and mixed reality laboratory, whose projects include Alejandro González Iñárritu’s Academy Award© winning experience Carne y Arena, Star Wars: Droid Repair Bay, and the Void’s Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire.

Before joining Lucasfilm, Williams founded Roller Coaster Entertainment, a film and TV production company where she produced the critically-acclaimed feature film Our Song, which earned her a nomination for an Independent Spirit Award in the Producer category. Other credits include the Emmy© award-winning Sylvia Drew Ivie, Student Academy Award©-nominated Another First Step, Industrial Light & Magic: Creating the Impossible, Method to the Madness of Jerry Lewis, Dear Mom Love Cher and Room 237.

Williams is a member of the Directors Guild of America (DGA) and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). She also currently sits on the advisory boards of The Overlook Film Festival and No Proscenium (previously known as the Immersive Design Summit). She previously held a position on the Advisory Board of Directors for the Tribeca Film Institute.
