Title:GEMA ROCKS VI

On September 12 and 13, 2014 at the Gonda Theatre, Georgetown University, GEMA ROCKS VI took the stage to a packed house of alumni each night.

The 6th Alumni/Student Concert showcased a phenomenal collection of music and comedic talent spanning six decades and a Special Tribute to renowned singer/songwriter Bill Danoff (I ’68).

Performers included:

  • Michael Zakarin (C ’05, MBA ’13) of The Bravery
  • International Trance/Dance artist Jeza, aka Jessica Bennett (C ’09)
  • Michael Pearsall (B ’06) and Evan Field (C ’98) of the critically-acclaimed band Honor by August (Last Chance)
  • Teddy Zambetti (C ’80) (Sirius XM In-House Composer/Producer and Co-Founder GU’s Cabaret)
  • Johnny Zambetti (B ’09) (Guitarist/Songwriter of Terraplane Sun & guitarist from top-selling artist Schwayze)

The evening featured a Special Tribute to renowned singer/songwriter Bill Danoff (I ’68) (Take Me Home Country Roads, Afternoon Delight) where he received the very first GEMA Lifetime Achievement Award for his many contributions to GU, GEMA and the music industry.
