Title:GEMA NY Alumni Panel – Navigating the Future: Key Business and Investing Trends Shaping Entertainment & Media

The Georgetown Entertainment & Media Alliance (GEMA) NY Chapter hosted a panel and reception in New York City on the evening of April 23, 2025 entitled “Navigating the Future: Key Business and Investing Trends Shaping Entertainment & Media.” The panel was generously co-sponsored by FTI Consulting and Covington & Burling LLP. Our esteemed alumni panelists included Ted Oberwager (C’06), Partner at KKR; Adrian Perry (L’08), Partner at Covington & Burling LLP; Ann Sarnoff (B’83, HON’24, Parent’17), Former Chair and CEO at Warner Bros.; and Sherri Williams (SFS’90), Partner at The Raine Group. The panel was moderated by Justin Eisenband (B’12), Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting.

Our alumni panelists offered their insights around such areas as protecting IP in an AI world, potential buying opportunities in a cautious investment climate, the increasing value of sports rights, and the differing consumption habits of the Gen Z audience. The conversation was followed by a reception with socializing and networking.

Special thanks to our co-sponsors, FTI Consulting and Covington & Burling LLP, as well as Justin Eisenband (FTI) and Adrian Perry (Covington) for their support.
