Club of Peru: End-of-Year Christmas Virtual Party and Gift Collection

Please join the Club of Peru for our “End-of-Year Christmas Virtual Party and Gift Collection”, which will take place via Zoom on Thursday, December 2, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Please RSVP to: peruhoyas@gmail.com
The Zoom meeting information will be sent out to those who have RSVPed a day before the event on December 2nd.
In addition to the virtual Zoom Christmas party, we will be having a gift collection which is for Father Omar of the Asociación de las Bienaventuranzas, who will take those gifts to poor children in Tablada de Lurín near Lima.
Those who want to donate can leave their donations at one of the two alumni addresses in Lima (houses of two of our board members who will then give them to father Omar).
Please email peruhoyas@gmail.com if you’re interested in donating, so we can share the addresses where you may drop your donation.
Donations will be received starting Thursday, November 18  through Tuesday, December 7. We ask that donations be left from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and that all alumni address their donations to the board member who lives in the address the alum chooses, and that alumni leave a note stating their name and GUSY (Georgetown School & Year).
Thank you! Hoya Saxa!

All attendees for in-person events must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or attest to having a religious or medical exemption. Attendees who attest to having an exemption or who are under the age of 12 will need to take a COVID-19 PCR test within 72 hours prior to the event and provide their negative test results. Attendees must show proof of vaccination (either print or digital) or negative test results when checking in at the event. In addition, attendees must continue to comply with Georgetown public health guidelines as they evolve, as well as CDC, local, state, and venue guidelines at the location of this event.

COVID-19 is a serious disease, resulting potentially in illness, hospitalization, and even death. Our first priority is the health and safety of our event participants. In the spirit of cura personalis, the University requires that event participants follow certain health and safety measures, which may vary depending on the nature of the event, in order to help protect the health and safety of all participants. While the University is taking steps to mitigate the risks to event participants, the University cannot guarantee a COVID-19 free environment or eliminate the chance of infection and the health risks associated with it. By participating in this event, you assume the risks involved. You may also be required to leave the event, if you fail to follow the required health and safety measures.
