Title:Creative Industries Week at Georgetown

GEMA DC invites members to network with students as part of
Creative Industries Week at Georgetown

On behalf of Georgetown University’s Cawley Career Education Center, GEMA members are invited to an evening of networking with Georgetown students interested in creative careers. This event will take place on Georgetown’s Main Campus at the Cawley Career Education Center, Tuesday, March 15th, from 5:30pm-7:30pm. Refreshments will be served.

Students are particularly interested in learning more about:

Your Role – What do you do? You can also explain what other types of work you’ve done in this field in the past.

The Industry – How did you enter the industry? What are the various roles available for a student or new professional? Can you describe the culture at your organization within the context of the industry?

Opportunities – Are there relevant timelines to keep in mind? What majors is your organization looking for? Other qualities?

Your Advice – What should students do to prepare for a job in your field? What professional organizations or clubs should they be a part of? Where can they research to learn more? What emerging trends are you seeing

Students would greatly benefit from alumni experience and insight. If you are able to attend, please contact Jacki Banks at Jacki.Banks@georgetown.edu and provide a brief bio. Thank you so much for your consideration.
