This memoir tells the true story of how Lijek and his wife Cora (Col, ’76) escaped the US Embassy in Tehran during the 1979 Iran hostage crisis. Their group of six found refuge with Canadian Embassy staff, and after three months in hiding, escaped with the help of the CIA. Their experience became the basis for the 2013 Oscar best picture Argo. Second edition.
