As a proud graduate of Georgetown’s School of Medicine class of 1993, it has been an honor to serve as Chair of the Medical Alumni Board (MAB) for the past three years. Georgetown’s commitment to foster a life-long community is what inspired me to accept the opportunity to prioritize and optimize our ability to connect with each other and make positive impacts on future generations of doctors, which ultimately is our legacy.

As I approach the end of my term, I would like to recognize Sean Pinney (C’90, M’94), who will be stepping in as Chair on July 1, 2025. To the full MAB, I am grateful for your partnership, enthusiasm and support.

Serving on the MAB has reminded me of the importance of connection and giving back. There are many ways for alumni to get involved with the Medical School. The Office of Advancement is a great place to start if you’re looking for opportunities to volunteer, you can sign up to be host for the Dine with a Doc program, participate in student mentoring programs such as CURA, sponsor a white coat, get involved with the MAB leadership, and so much more.
