Title:24th Annual GEMA Alumni Career Panel

On October 22, 2025, the Georgetown Entertainment & Media Alliance (GEMA) hosted the 24th Annual Alumni Career Panel at the Wagner Alumni House on Georgetown’s Main Campus. The event featured four accomplished alumni in the entertainment & media space, with the opportunity to learn from the speakers’ unique career journeys and to ask questions.

The panelists included Melissa Goodall (SFS’14, G’19), Head of Development at The Kennedy/Marshall Company; Fabian McNally (L’11), Business Development Lead for Network & Platform Partnerships at the NBA; Christopher Browne (C’13, SCS’14), Senior Director of Corporate Communications at Monumental Sports & Entertainment; and Erin Doherty (C’20), Polling and Campaigns Reporter at Politico. The discussion was moderated by long-time GEMA DC volunteer Mitch Peyser (MBA’93).

The alumni provided helpful advice on how to get started in a career in the media and entertainment industries, what qualities are most valued, the role Georgetown can play, and the passion and curiosity that are necessary to achieve success.

Students asked questions during the panel discussion and engaged in informal conversation during a reception that immediately followed.
