Dental Alumni Board

The Georgetown University School of Dentistry (1901-1990) has approximately 3,300 dental alumni. The Dental Alumni Board (DAB) consists of dental alumni who serve the needs and interests of Georgetown University, the Georgetown University Alumni Association, and the dental alumni population. The DAB works to plan and promote activities to bring dental alumni together, foster a continued connection to Georgetown University and celebrate the legacy of the School of Dentistry.

Annually, Georgetown School of Dentistry alumni have the opportunity to submit a self-nomination to be considered for the Dental Alumni Board. Board members serve a three-year term, and typically, candidates are active participants in School of Dentistry alumni activities.

 

Board Member Responsibilities

If you are interested in applying for a position on the board, please carefully review the Dental Board Member Responsibilities below.

  1. Members must serve a three-year term and may serve two consecutive terms. Term requirements follow a fiscal calendar year (July 1-June 30).
  2. Members are expected to attend two of the three board meetings each year, as well as meetings of any committees on which they serve.
  3. Members will serve on at least one of the three standing committees of the Dental Alumni Board. These committees include Awards, Nominations, and Reunion.

Nominations for the 2026-2029 term are now open. The application deadline is Friday, April 24.
