Dental Alumni Awards

The Distinguished Service Award is the highest award conferred by the alumni of the Georgetown University Dental Alumni Board. Bestowed upon an alumnus/a and/or former faculty, the recipient is selected annually on the basis of career accomplishments, public service, advancement of the dental profession, and alumni involvement.

To nominate a dental alumnus/a for the Distinguished Service Award, please complete the nomination form by May 2, 2025.

The Apollonian Alumni Award is named for St. Apollonia, the patron saint of Dentistry, and is conferred upon an alumnus who has demonstrated exceptional efforts on behalf of the alumni of the School of Dentistry. The (Gustav O. Kruger) Lifetime Achievement Award in Dentistry is conferred upon an alumna/us or faculty member of the Georgetown University School of Dentistry who has rendered outstanding and exemplary community or professional service in support of the profession of dentistry. Awardees will have demonstrated significant contributions to humanitarian outreach and/ or held leadership positions in research, education, dental practice, or organized dentistry.
