Then & Now: Healy Pub, Bulldog Tavern

In November of 2014, Georgetown opened the doors of the new Bulldog Tavern, situated inside the Healey Family Student Center. Members of the Georgetown community, especially students, were excited to check out the highly anticipated new on-campus pub and commons space. Though the new restaurant offers a more modern design, the cozy atmosphere is still reminiscent of the beloved Healy Pub, a campus staple established in 1974 that once resided in the basement of Healy Hall, but closed in 1988.

Our latest “Then & Now” feature compares the Healy Pub during the 1970’s to the new Bulldog Tavern, where a new generation of Hoyas are meeting, working, socializing and networking.
