Georgetown University
Alumni Association
Annual Report

The global Georgetown University alumni community grew to more than 185,000 in 163 countries in 2016, served locally by more than 80 clubs and networks worldwide.

Through the amazing dedication of more than 5,000 class and regional club volunteers, an experienced and committed professional staff, and focused Georgetown leadership, Georgetown University Alumni Association (GUAA) engaged more alumni than ever before.  We fostered these connections at homecoming, class reunions, through regional club initiatives, and at a broad array of social, educational, charitable, athletic, and fundraising events all over the world. In November 2015, we headed to Hong Kong for our second International Alumni Weekend, GUAA’s first major region-wide event in Asia. In April 2016, more than 1,000 individuals gathered in Rome for the annual John Carroll Weekend, where we bestowed John Carroll and Patrick Healy Awards, the highest honors for GUAA’s alumni and friends. Recipients were recognized for their service to Georgetown and their communities, their lifetime achievements, and their dedication to advancing Georgetown’s mission of distinguished service and leadership. As always, we closed the year in June with class reunions. This year over 4,000 undergraduate alumni and their families returned home to celebrate with many of their lifelong friends.

Our accomplishments far exceeded my expectations. And more is still to come. Thank you to all who contributed to our success.
