SUMMARY:GEMA Hoyas in Letters Writers Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The Georgetown Entertainment & Media Alliance (GEMA) Hoyas in Letters will be hosting its second writers workshop on November 13\, featuring guest speaker and East City Bookshop owner Laurie Gillman! Laurie will be covering a number of topics such as founding the bookstore\, the percentage of sales for different types of books and the explosion of sales for different genres like Science Fiction & Fantasy and Romance\, the most successful ways to work with indie bookstores\, and their best mutually beneficial relationships with DC-area authors. The first hour will focus on Laurie’s presentation and time for questions\, and the second hour will be to share feedback on each other’s writing (the “workshop” part). \nThis meeting will have a virtual option for folks not in the DC area.
