SUMMARY:Club of Boston: Hoyas Supporting Hoyas
DESCRIPTION:Colleen McKeegan (C ’11)\, a former writer and editor of the Hoya newspaper and a former editor for Marie Claire\, is publishing her first book with Harper Collins which just came out in time to add to your summer beach reads! \nThe Wild One is a dark and twisted coming-of-age thriller that reminds us that the past is never truly past. As three young women return to the woods of the summer camp where a childhood trauma inextricably bound them in secrecy a decade ago\, much more than their carefully cultivated façade of normalcy is threatened. They reunite in the Poconos to confront their demons\, but can they even trust each other — and how far will each go to make sure the long-hidden truth stays that way? \nThe Wild One is on the list for the most eagerly anticipated Fiction by Women in 2022 per Marie Claire\, the 20 New Beach Reads to add to your summer list by Good Housekeeping magazine\, and Kirkus Reviews said it is an “engaging thriller” with “hints of Tana French and Tara Isabella Burton.” \nColleen will be speaking at the Willowbend Country Club on Sunday\, July 10th at 5 PM which will include a Q&A session as well as the ability to have your book autographed! A $20 donation to benefit the Friends of Mashpee Library is suggested to attend this very exciting event. A cash bar will be available for your enjoyment. \nPlease RSVP to friendsofthemashpeelibrary@gmail.com to help us with the headcount.
