Meet GEMA DC’s Co-directors

anne dinardo

Anne Marie DiNardo (G ’00) Senior-level consultant with SimIS Inc. focused on the defense sector leading communications efforts for DoD-wide distributed learning initiative. Her expertise includes strategic planning, communications, stakeholder engagement, training, digital outreach, public speaking and facilitation, knowledge management, website/intranet design and content development, storytelling, and writing/editing. She has led numerous outreach efforts for high-profile government clients by leading communications efforts to engage key stakeholders (internal and external). She was a finalist in the Women in Technology leadership award competition for 2019. Her screenplays have placed in contests including the Rod Serling Screenwriting competition, The Broad Humor Festival and The Next Fifteen Minutes Screenplay competition, and she won the Cine/A&E pitchfest – DC in 2015 for her Hostage Heroes reality TV concept.

Mitch Peyser (MBA ’93)

Mitch Peyser (MBA ’93) Vice President and Executive Producer at StarVista/Time Life, a division of Direct Holdings Global. Mitch develops music and video products and promotes them online and through infomercials. Mitch has also produced PBS specials including Opry Memories, Gospel’s Jubilee Showcase, and Keyboard Conversations with Jeffrey Seigel. Mitch also serves on the Board of Directors of the Gospel Music Association

Past events include Spring Into Action Alumni Networking Night, GEMA Laughs Comedy Shows, GEMA Night with the Nats, Breakfast Series, Book Signing of ‘Out of Limbo’ with screening of short ‘So Where’s Home?’ by Gtown Film & Media Studies graduate program.

Meet GEMA LA’s Co-directors:

Raquel Braun (L’10) graduated from Georgetown Law with her J.D. in 2010 and has been involved with Georgetown since her first year at GULC. During her 1L year, Raquel founded the Georgetown Entertainment and Media Alliance, Law Chapter (GEMALaw) and also spearheaded the launch of the Annual GEMALaw Sports & Entertainment Law Symposium (currently in its seventh year) and the GEMALaw Annual Alumni Achievement Award. Raquel is Director of Business and Legal Affairs in the International Sports and Emerging Networks group at Fox Cable Networks in Los Angeles.

Matt McMahon (SFS’96, MBA’04) is VP, Business Development for Seriously Digital Entertainment where he is responsible for Seriously’s strategic distribution and animation partnerships. McMahon joins Seriously from 20th Century Fox where he held the role of Vice President of Mobile and was in charge of the mobile apps and games business at the Film and Television Studio. Matt has managed and/or secured deals with all major carriers in the U.S., multiple OEMs, Qualcomm, FLO TV, MobiTV and others. He has also managed the multi-million dollar deal and the marketing for the pre-load of James Cameron’s Avatar onto the Samsung Vibrant at T-Mobile.

Meet GEMA NY’s Co-directors:

Erica Nonni (C ’03) is the Managing Director for Nonni Strategic Marketing, an international promotions agency in the food and beverage sector. Erica specializes in marketing, public relations and import/export strategy for new and heritage brands of varied sizes and levels of market penetration, with expertise in B2B and trade marketing, as well as consumer/lifestyle strategy. She has served on the boards of the Georgetown Clubs of Metropolitan New York and the United Kingdom since 2006 and as an AAP interviewer since 2005.

Mary Ann Halford (C’80) is a managing director in the FTI Consulting Corporate Finance/Restructuring practice. She is a member of the Telecom, Media and Technology group and has more than 24 years of professional experience in the media industry, with a strong focus on broadcasting and entertainment. She has provided strategic business and operational advisory services, and leadership to broadcasting and entertainment companies of varying sizes. While with the firm, she has managed performance improvement and digital transformation studies for numerous engagements.
