GEMA Jobs

Looking for a job or have a job to post?

Help us help other Hoyas — Grow their careers in media & entertainment

Have you heard about an entertainment or media internship or employment opportunity that you want to let other HOYAS know about?

Get the word out through GEMA

From time to time GEMA will send out an email informing members of available internship or employment opportunities for which they may be eligible. If you would like GEMA to post information on an employment or internship opportunity that you have heard of to other GEMA members, please send a brief note, the job description and employer contact information to info@GEMA-Hoyas.org.

PLEASE NOTE: GEMA does not offer an employment referral service; this is simply a notification courtesy to members. It is offered based upon the availability of GEMA volunteer staff and in consideration of other GEMA mailing priorities.

You can also post job announcements to the GEMA LinkedIn page.
Follow us on LinkedIn to connect with other GEMA members about jobs, opportunities and industry information.

Hoya Gateway

Hoya Gateway is a new and innovative program that facilitates career-related conversations between current Georgetown students and alumni. It creates an opportunity for generations of Hoyas to connect for in-person, one-on-one meetings in the form of an informational interview, resume review, or mock interview.

Hoya Gateway exists to introduce students to the Georgetown Alumni network beyond Healy Gates, assisting students in establishing and building their own professional networks. Hoya Gateway strives to institutionalize connections between students and alumni, thereby making a material impact on students’ ability to fulfill their career objectives.

Please contact Joshua Speiser, Associate Director, Alumni Career Services, with questions at js47@georgetown.edu

Hoya Career Connection (HCC)

All employers can also post jobs or internships (for current students and/or alumni) through the online system, Hoya Career Connection (HCC), available at https://georgetown-csm.symplicity.com/employers. New employers can register and post a job in one step through the “register and post local job” tab at the top of the page.

For entertainment and media-related jobs, employers can also send a copy of the position, after they have posted it on the web site above, directly to GEMA’s contact at the Career Education Center, Christine Y. Cruzvergara. Christine will then use the information in meetings with students and in newsletters, etc… Christine does look through HCC regularly but she encourages alumni to contact her with any other information they think might be helpful for her to know about the job, or insight into the candidate they are looking for, particularly if there is additional information that may not be included in or appropriate for a job posting. Contact Christine Y. Cruzvergara at cyc23@georgetown.edu.

For law students: get the word out through GULC

The Georgetown University Law Center uses a similar method for posting employment and internship opportunities for law students. For more information on how to reach students, please visit The Office of Career Services . Christine Minarich manages the GULC Job Listings Database. Her contact information is minarcc@law.georgetown.edu and her phone number is 202-662-9244.
