I retired from regular full-time, salaried employment in January, 2010. The nonprofit world in DC is no longer the congenial world it once was. I decided to pursue a lifelong interest in the history of Washington, DC. To make a long story short, I'm 15 months into writing a book about Larz and Isabel Anderson, a prominent couple who were on the stage of world events from 1900 until Larz's death in 1937. They are not just a fascinating couple, they are representative of a period of American history, the late Gilded Age up through the Great Depression, that is only now starting to be discovered by cultural historians. It's a fascinating journey.

Are you interested in meeting up with fellow Hoyas and classmates? Join your local alumni club. Georgetown has more than 80 alumni clubs around the world that plan events and activities on a regular basis to keep alumni connected to one another and the university. Find an alumni club near you.
See upcoming events in your area on the Alumni Events Calendar.
Georgetown's excellence and leadership in higher education depend on the generosity of alumni like you. From annual gifts that make an immediate impact to endowed gifts that last for generations, contributions to Georgetown serve as a catalyst for positive change.
Every gift truly does matter.
Giving...
- Helps Georgetown enroll the most promising students.
Gifts to the Georgetown Fund support the 1789 Scholarship Imperative, the university's fundraising campaign for undergraduate scholarships. - Affects Georgetown's national ranking.
Publications such as U.S. News & World Report consider the number of alumni who contribute annually when developing their rankings. Annual gifts sustain Georgetown's reputation for excellence. - Inspires others to give, creating a multiplier effect.
Alumni giving is a vote of confidence in the university. Additional alumni and other types of donors (such as corporations and foundations) want to know they're investing in an institution that has the support of its community.
Loyalty Society
The Loyalty Society is a way to be rewarded for giving back! Simply make a gift two years in a row. To sustain your membership and reach new recognition milestones, make a gift every year. And if you're not already a member, don't worry—you can buy back any years you've missed.
Supporting Georgetown's priorities by making a reunion gift is a special way to honor your connection to the university during your reunion year.
Reunion Weekend Trophies
There are five trophies our class can win during Reunion Weekend:
President's Cup
Awarded to the reunion class with the greatest percentage of donors.
Reunion Cup

Loyalty Cup
