Georgetown's excellence and leadership in higher education depend on the generosity of alumni like you. From annual gifts that make an immediate impact to endowed gifts that last for generations, contributions to Georgetown serve as a catalyst for positive change.
Every gift truly does matter.
- Helps Georgetown enroll the most promising students.
Gifts to the Georgetown Fund support the 1789 Scholarship Imperative, the university's fundraising campaign for undergraduate scholarships.
- Affects Georgetown's national ranking.
Publications such as U.S. News & World Report consider the number of alumni who contribute annually when developing their rankings. Annual gifts sustain Georgetown's reputation for excellence.
- Inspires others to give, creating a multiplier effect.
Alumni giving is a vote of confidence in the university. Additional alumni and other types of donors (such as corporations and foundations) want to know they're investing in an institution that has the support of its community.
The Loyalty Society is a way to be rewarded for giving back! Simply make a gift two years in a row. To sustain your membership and reach new recognition milestones, make a gift every year. And if you're not already a member, don't worry—you can buy back any years you've missed.
The Georgetown University Legacy Society recognizes and honors those who have provided for the future of Georgetown University through planned gifts such as bequest provisions in wills, charitable trusts, charitable gift annuities, gifts of life insurance, gifts with retained life estates and designations of retirement plan assets. To become a Legacy Society member or talk with a gift planning representative, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call 1-800-347-8067. For more information, visit the planned giving website.
