What are you most thankful for this year?

It is the season for gratitude, and as the Thanksgiving holiday week kicks off, we asked Georgetown students and staff on campus to share a few things for which they are giving thanks this year.

I’m thankful for the family that I’ve met here. Georgetown provides so many outlets for help, outreach and so many different clubs that we can get involved in. I don’t think many other campuses are as lively as ours either.

I am thankful for my health. I never had to think about it as an undergrad, but now that I am older and can’t be on my parents’ insurance anymore, I’ve had to look at different options. I was able to get health insurance through Georgetown, so I am definitely thankful for that. Looking at family and loved ones that have medical problems, it’s nice to know I’ve got that covered.

I’m thankful for the ability to go home and see my family and my loved ones next week, and to have some time for resting. I know that’s not something that everyone has the opportunity to do each year.
