Medical Alumni Board

We encourage alumni to use this Web site to become active members and to learn how to become involved in our many activities. We welcome your thoughts and criticisms, but most importantly your participation.

The purpose of the Medical Alumni Board is to further the educational, social and charitable interest of the Georgetown School of Medicine alumni and to encourage and perpetuate the sprit of good feeling and commonality of interest among graduates.

The goals of the Medical Alumni Board are accomplished by support of alumni annual giving, educational meetings, communication, career growth and social events that provide opportunities for exchange among the Medical School alumni, faculty, students and administration.

The Medical Alumni Board members are Georgetown University Medical School Alumni sharing a common professional endeavor and who join in concern for medical education. There are between 16 and 25 members of the Medical Alumni Board, each serving a three-year term of service. These members are nominated by fellow alumni, vetted by the nominations committee of the board and voted on by the board. When electing new members to the board, special emphasis is placed on diversity of membership and representation from various classes, specialties and regional areas. Nominations are accepted up until April 15 and new members are selected at the May Medical Alumni Board meeting with new terms beginning July 1 annually.
