Armand W. Bonneau, D.D.S. (D’61), who spent more than 25 years as an associate professor at his alma mater, the Georgetown University School of Dentistry, died June 26, 2009, at the age of 79.

Henry H. 'Hank' Scofield, D.D.S. (G’52, D’83), Navy Oral Pathologist and long-time School of Dentistry faculty member in the oral pathology department, died May 17, 2009, at the age of 91.

Victor R. Siegel, D.D.S. (D’78), was featured on channel 9, WUSA-TV in Washington, DC, during the 5pm local newscast on Wednesday, August 12, 2009. Dr. Siegel was interviewed on “oral cancer detection and the enhanced Vizilite oral cancer screening exam.”

Frank C. Andolino, D.D.S. (D’86), is co-founder of Kageno Worldwide, Inc., a New York City based non-profit international community development organization operating two community development projects in Kenya and a third in Rwanda.

Margaret Culotta-Norton, D.D.S. (D’79), Past Chair of the Dental Alumni Board was presented with the District of Columbia Dental Society’s ‘Sterling V. Mead Award’ for ‘Outstanding Achievement in Dentistry and for a life which has reflected great credit upon her profession.’ Sally J. Cram, D.D.S. (D’86) presented the award.

Kenneth M. Haggerty, D.D.S. (D’51), former president and board chairman of the old Arlington Hospital and former chairman of the Virginia State Board of Health, died April 3, 2009 at the age of 85.

Nahid Maleki, D.D.S., M.S. (D’77), has been elected to represent the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists (MASO) on the American Association of Orthodontists’ (AAO) Board of Trustees. She will become the president of the AAO in 2017.
