About Regional Clubs
More than 80 Georgetown alumni clubs and contacts span the globe and create a sense of home away from the Hilltop. Regional clubs sustain traditions unique to the Georgetown experience and are committed to the following five pillars as cornerstones of their programs, events, and outreach:
Community – Serving the community as men and women for others
Camaraderie – Sustaining spirit from the Hilltop beyond the Hilltop
Connection – Uniting Hoyas of all eras in all fields with each other and with the Hilltop
Commitment – Sharing Georgetown’s Catholic & Jesuit tradition and University values
Contribution – Generating multifaceted support for Georgetown
In order to meet the needs of all Hoyas in a market, clubs strive to provide events and programs based on:
- Alumnae initiatives
- Athletic team support
- Career & professional development programming
- Community service opportunities
- Family events
- Intellectually stimulating content
- Philanthropic education and awareness
- Social activities and events
- Spiritual fulfillment
- Young alumni connections

Georgetown will be launching a day of giving—The Blue & Gray Day Challenge—on March 28! A total of 1,789 minutes of giving from 6:11 p.m. on March 28 through midnight on March 29 will unfold, supporting fundraising for student scholarships.
Help make this our most successful giving day ever by posting on social media, emailing your club members, and including messaging in other club communications or events starting now and leading up to March 28. Similar to the City Challenge, a library of images and sample posts will be provided to you in order to get you started! Questions? Contact Bridget Holmes, Senior Director of Career & Regional Initiatives at email@example.com or go to giving.georgetown.edu.
Also, don't miss our upcoming sessions of Ask Me Anything (AMA), one hour a week when a guest host has agreed to make themselves available for an hour to answer any questions you may have about their area of Georgetown expertise. Here are our upcoming hosts:
March 13 Matt Kelly | Expertise: Hoya Gateway
March 20 Vanessa Kehoe & Bridget Holmes | Expertise: Blue & Gray Day (March 28)
March 27 Joe Gruenbaum | Expertise: The GOdesk, Email Marketing, Web Marketing
April 3 Katharine Albritton | Expertise: Alliances
Catch our AMAs here on the volunteer portal! See you next week!
Stop by the Volunteer Portal every Monday for a session of Ask Me Anything!
Every Monday we will feature a guest host for Ask Me Anything (AMA) where you will have an hour to ask our guest host about anything relating to your club. We will feature hosts from the Alumni Clubs Committee, various offices and departments at Georgetown and more.
Much like our club chat “Office Hours” we will have guests hosts answering questions using our Volunteer Portal chat feature. We hope to see you at the first session on February 27th with Curtis Romig (C’94), Chair of the Alumni Clubs Committee from 4-5 pm Eastern!
