Mission and Ministry Committee

Georgetown University is a Catholic and Jesuit university that provides an education in the Jesuit tradition with its strong emphasis on cura personalis—care for the whole person. Building on John Carroll's vision of a Roman Catholic academy, Georgetown's Office of Campus Ministry is committed to developing and furthering the spiritual growth of the community and all of its members' faith traditions. To that end, the Campus Ministry Committee serves as a sounding board for the vice president for Mission and Ministry and other clergy by providing parental, lay and non-academic perspectives. In addition, the committee helps to develop the resources and good will that enable the vice president and his staff to meet new challenges and to take advantage of new opportunities in the 21st century.
