Georgetown University Alumni Association Board of Governors 2016 Election

The Georgetown University Alumni Association Board of Governors holds yearly elections for new members. Beginning on April 21, 2016, 14 candidates stand for election to serve as volunteers on the Board of Governors with a term starting July 1, 2016 and concluding June 30, 2019.

All alumni are eligible to vote in the 2016 election. These volunteers will represent you by providing direction to the alumni relations programs of the university and advising the University on matters of importance to alumni.

Key Election Dates

2016 Election:

  • Election voting opened at 9 a.m. EDT on April 21, 2016.
  • Election voting closed at 5 p.m. EDT on May 31, 2016.
  • Election results will be verified at the Annual Meeting on Monday, June 20, 2016. The meeting will take place that Robert & Bernice Wagner Alumni House from 10 a.m. to noon EDT.

Voting

Online voting is now closed, and the deadline for submitting paper ballots has passed. Alumni are welcome to vote in person at the Annual Meeting of June 20, 2016, taking place at the Robert & Bernice Wagner Alumni House.

About the Board of Governors

The Board of Governors is the leadership body of the Georgetown University Alumni Association, a 501(c)(3) organization. Governors are elected by a vote of all alumni. The Board of Governors represents Georgetown alumni, sustaining and developing the interests of alumni in the university’s objectives, programs, activities, and achievements. The Board of Governors is responsible for protecting and preserving the traditions of Georgetown alumni and providing and encouraging support for the university.
